How residential moving works with Heartline

Every residential move starts with a written estimate that lists the crew size, the hours or flat price, and exactly what is included. Larger homes get a short video or in-person walkthrough so the number is accurate before you commit.

On moving day the crew lead does a walkthrough with you, protects floors, door frames and banisters, then wraps and loads. At your new home, boxes go to the rooms you point to, furniture is reassembled, and the lead walks the space with you before leaving.

Best for

  • Single-family homes
  • Townhouses
  • Condos and large apartments
  • Moves with fragile or heavy items

Questions

Residential moving questions

More answers are on the main FAQ, and how we price a move explains what sets the number. Or call and ask.

How long does a residential move take?

Most two to three bedroom homes are loaded, driven and unloaded in a single day with a crew of three or four. Larger homes, long carries, or a lot of packing can add hours or a second day, and your estimate will say so up front.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?

Yes. Beds, dining tables, desks and similar standard furniture are taken apart, moved, and put back together at the destination as part of the move.

Is my furniture protected during the move?

Every piece is wrapped in moving blankets and stretch wrap before it leaves the room. Upholstered items get plastic covers, and mattresses go in mattress bags.
