Why Southampton residents choose Heartline
A written number, and the crew that quoted it.
-
Transparent pricing
An hourly rate, a crew size and every extra listed in writing before you commit. No verbal figure that grows on the invoice. How we price a move sets out exactly what is included.
-
Owner-operated crews
The people who arrive are our own trained employees, not a subcontractor who bought the job. One coordinator handles your move from the first call to the last box.
-
Furniture protected properly
Blankets and shrink wrap on every piece before it leaves the room, floor runners down, door jambs padded. It is the difference between a move and a repair bill.
-
Local Pennsylvania movers
We work Bucks County every week, so we know the streets, the buildings and the parking before we arrive rather than after.
-
Residential and commercial
Houses, apartments and offices. Southampton work is mostly residential and apartment moving, with a steady stream of moves between the township and Northeast Philadelphia.
-

On the ground
What moving in Southampton actually involves
Two pikes, and the housing along them
Southampton is organised around Second Street Pike and Street Road, and the housing changes as you move along them. Closer to Street Road there are townhouse and garden-apartment developments; further north the lots get larger and the houses are detached mid-century singles.
Both are good access for a truck. Southampton has few of the constraints that make Lower Bucks boroughs slow, which is why moves here tend to come in close to the estimated hours.
A township of boundaries
Upper Southampton is small and hemmed in by neighbours: Northampton to the north, Lower Southampton to the south, Warminster to the west. A Southampton mailing address does not always mean Upper Southampton Township, and the neighbouring townships share parts of the postal area.
For most moves this makes no difference. It matters when something needs arranging on the street, and it matters for knowing which municipal office to call, so we confirm the actual township at both addresses when we quote.
The Philadelphia run
Bustleton Pike runs straight down into Northeast Philadelphia, and it is one of the busiest routes we work. Moves in this direction are short on distance and long on contrast: a Southampton driveway at one end, a rowhome with a stoop and permit parking at the other.
Where the Philadelphia end needs a temporary no-parking permit we will tell you what to file and when. Where the street is too tight, we bring a smaller truck rather than adding a hundred yards to every trip.

Pricing
What a Southampton move costs
Local moves are priced by the hour, set by the crew size the job needs and how long it takes. The clock starts when the crew arrives at your first address and stops when the last item is placed at the second, including the drive between them.
The hourly rate covers the truck, the fuel, the crew and all the equipment. Packing materials, packing labour and specialty items such as pianos and safes are listed separately so you can see what each one adds. Everything is in writing before you commit.
How we price a moveWhy there are no prices on this page. Publishing a single figure for "a move in Southampton" would be a guess, because a one-bedroom apartment and a four-bedroom house are not the same job. We would rather quote yours properly.

Asked before most Southampton bookings
More general answers are on the main FAQ, and our guides cover the decisions people make before calling anyone.
Call (000) 000-0000 How much do movers cost in Southampton?
Hourly, on crew size and time. Access in Southampton is generally good — driveways, wide streets, few parking restrictions — so jobs here tend to land close to the estimated hours. The written estimate names the crew, the rate and anything charged separately before you book.
How early should I book movers in Southampton?
Six to eight weeks for a house and three to four for an apartment. If your dates are flexible, a midweek slot in the middle of the month is easier to get and usually cheaper than the last weekend.
Can you move between Southampton and Philadelphia?
Yes, and it is one of our most common routes — Bustleton Pike runs directly into the Northeast. The Philadelphia end is what needs planning: parking permits, narrow streets and rowhome stairs. We handle that as part of the quote.
Do you move apartments in Southampton?
Yes. Ask your leasing office whether they require a move window or a certificate of insurance from the mover, and tell us the floor and whether there is a lift. We supply certificates on request.
Are you licensed to move within Pennsylvania?
Yes. Household goods carriers operating inside Pennsylvania are regulated by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, and moves in Southampton fall under that authority. Our certificate and USDOT numbers are published on our about page so you can check them before you book, which is worth doing with any mover.
Do you provide moving blankets and equipment?
Yes, and they are in the hourly rate rather than billed as extras. The crew arrives with furniture blankets, shrink wrap, straps, dollies and floor runners. Every piece of furniture is wrapped before it leaves the room it is in.
Do you offer packing?
Full or partial. Most people in Southampton book partial packing for the kitchen, the fragile things and the garage, and do the clothes and books themselves. Packing is booked in advance and usually done the day before the move.
