Questions

Before you book

The things people ask us most. If yours isn't here, call or include it with your quote request.

Call (000) 000-0000

How do estimates work?

You tell us where you are moving from and to, the date, and the size of the home. For local moves we quote a crew size and hourly rate; for long-distance moves we quote a flat price based on inventory and distance. Larger homes may get a short video or in-person walkthrough so the estimate is accurate. Everything is put in writing before you commit.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable for most local moves. Long-distance moves, end-of-month dates, and summer weekends fill first, so book those as early as you can. If your date is sooner, call: we can often fit shorter-notice moves.

Do I have to pack everything myself?

No. You can pack everything, have us pack everything, or have us handle only the fragile and time-consuming items like the kitchen, artwork, and electronics. We bring the materials, and furniture is always wrapped by the crew regardless of what you choose.

What happens on moving day?

The crew lead calls when they are on the way and does a quick walkthrough with you on arrival. Floors, door frames, and banisters are protected, furniture is wrapped and loaded, and the truck is driven to your new address. At the destination, items go to the rooms you point to, furniture is reassembled, and the lead walks the space with you before leaving.

What is the difference between a local and a long-distance move?

Local moves stay within the same region and are usually done in one day, priced by crew and time. Long-distance moves cross a longer distance or a state line, are priced as a flat rate, and come with a delivery window agreed in advance.

Can you move pianos, safes, or other heavy items?

Yes, with notice. Tell us about heavy or unusual items when you request your quote so we can send the right equipment and crew size. Some items, such as certain pianos or gun safes, may require an additional charge that will be listed in your estimate.

What if I need to reschedule?

Plans change. Let us know as soon as you can and we will move your date at no charge with reasonable notice. Very short-notice changes may carry a fee, and the specific terms are listed in your estimate.

How and when do I pay?

A deposit reserves your date, and the balance is due when the move is complete. We accept major cards and other common payment methods, and the exact amounts and timing are spelled out in your written estimate so there are no surprises.

Ready for your next move?

Tell us where you're going. You'll get a written estimate and a real person to plan the day with.
