Bensalem is several distinct places under one township
Bensalem Township covers a lot of ground, and the older village names still describe how the housing actually differs. Cornwells Heights, Eddington and Andalusia sit close to the river and the rail line, with narrower streets and smaller lots. Trevose and the areas along Street Road are more suburban. Newer townhouse developments sit further inland. A crew size that suits a Trevose split-level is not what an Andalusia twin needs.
Because it is a township rather than a borough, there is no single downtown with restricted parking. In most of Bensalem the truck can get reasonably close to the door, which keeps the carry short and the clock down.
The apartment corridors along Street Road and Knights Road
